The MSD GATE software was created to furnish specialized educational services to gifted and talented learners. The school district’s mission is to recognize and nurture these types of students’ special skillsets, interests, and abilities. The GATE plan works to expand the educational experiences of gifted and talented students in MSD elementary high schools. Teachers will be trained in differentiated core programs, which enables them to create college student products and tasks that are more complex and demanding. These students can also receive high-quality, comprehensive educational support and individualized plans.

The GATEWAY program in Calgary is broken into two parts. A psychologist will determine a student’s learning styles, expertise, and skills and then make them reach their full potential. This includes providing advanced troubles and divergent thinking opportunities. It’s important to be aware that qualifying for your GATE program is not the same as producing honor roll. It’s just a way to acknowledge a learning big difference. The purpose of a GATE system is to develop gifted college students, and to enhance their potential in school and in life.
