Role Overview

Sensory-Motor/ Cognition Coach is the entry level position at DMH Learning Center Inc dba as Brain Balance Center of Redlands. Perfect position for an individual in college wanting to consider a career in education, occupational therapy, neuroscience, physical therapy, counseling. 10-15 hours a week. Taking on an internship with our center is a transformative step for a young professional, offering a rare look into how holisitic development changes lives. They will dive directly into training that bridges gaps between classroom theory and real world application to support individuals who have neuro developmental delays. At the same time learn mechanics of center operations and client relations by keeping center organized, welcoming and smooth-running. Learn and practice communicating with empathy and clarity in relationship management. They will help drive community outreach and local marketing events.

Primary & Secondary Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate sensory-motor activities and exercises., follow program protocols and coaching instructions, observe children closely and document performance, and progress, positive encouragement and redirection, communicate effectively with the Program Director, team members and families, maintain a clean and organized and safe coaching environment, participate in ongoing training and professional developments.

Required Skills

Genuine interest in helping others and making a difference in their lives, williness to learn, be physical fit, outgoing personality, attention to detail, good communication skills in writing, confidence in speaking with others, and understand punctuality is a must because daily client sessions are on a time schedule that is not flexible.
